Linked Open Data Projects

I have two interested in linked data. The first is my interest as the person responsible at ANU for the institutional repository and making ANU research (including data) available to the world. Key issues for us including linking identities (perhaps through ORCHID and VIAF), creating better workflows for collection of data and creating an integrated solution with data, research outputs (published) and identities. The second is leading and influencing developing in creation of research outputs that take advantage of the opportunities of the online environment and lead to new models – as an example I am convenor of the CAUL Library Publishing Advisory Committee and am convening the reinventing university publishing symposium. I have also undertaken a research project funded by ALIA on the transfer of research to the business community.
