Richard Urban joined the faculty of Florida State University in 2011 after completing a MLIS and Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His background also includes an MA in History and Museum Studies certificate from the University of Delaware. Richard's research interests are broadly concerned with representing cultural heritage collections online through quality metadata and usable interfaces. His research is informed by experience at the IMLS Digital Collections and Content Project, Collaborative Digitization Program, Historical Society of Pennsylvania, and Historical Society of Delaware.

I am interested in the ongoing development and dissemination of Linked Open Data for cultural heritage. As a researcher, LODLAM Summit offers an opportunity to investigate how LAM professionals are meeting the challenges of representing cultural heritage resources.
