I worked in academic libraries and bookstores for 6 years before my Ph.D. and place a high value on collaborations with cultural heritage institutions.

I'd like to keep abreast of what's going on internationally with Linked Data in GLAM and especially in libraries. I am particularly keen on learning about curriculum initiatives like University of Washington's "Learning Linked Data" project. This year I have made connections with the Digital Repository of Ireland, which is beginning to use Linked Data and would like to put them in touch with other small governmental groups.

I do outreach in Library Linked Data, and my most recent LLD presentations were at the American Library Association meeting this June: a talk on International Developments in Library Linked Data, and a full-day preconference with colleagues.
I am familiar with copyright (mainly in the US, but some familiarity with Ireland's fair dealing policy). I'm familiar with open access and open data (and contribute to open content, e.g. as a Wikipedia editor).
