Linked Open Data Projects

Digital Prosopography Project, which involves study of groups of people, mostly, in the past. It means semi-automatically building an online biographical database on the web based on RDF.
This project aims to create a framework that can answer questions not easily answered by Google-like search or traditional means. For example, “Did composer A and composer B live in Rome in 1543? Did composer A and composer B work with composer C? Were there singers/instrumentalists working in Rome from 1540–1545 who performed music by both of these composers?
We've applied for NEH Digital Humanities Start-up Grants (results in March 2013). I've given a talk at the Renaissance Society of America Annual Meeting, Washington, DC. 24 March 2012. Digital prosopography of Renaissance musicians: Discovery of social and professional network, with S. Weiss.
