Interest in LODLAM

I work for a museum and for a library at the same time. I have been being involved in publishing data into the semantic web for a long time now. I have contributed in publishing the catalogue of the National Library of Hungary (RDFDC), the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest (FRBRoo), and finally the Central Library of the Hungarian National Museum (BIBFRAME). I think it is high time to meet people working towards the same goal.

Linked Open Data Projects

The Library of the Hungarian National Museum has pudlished its entire catalogue in BIBFRAME format and provides links to external sources including: BNF, ISNI, LC NAF, VIAF, Wikidata.

The BIBFRAME and MARC descriptions are cross linked. Knowing the BIBFRAME URI of an instance:

one can get the MARC description by changing "id" to "doc" in the URI and appending .opac to the URI:

Knowing the permalink of an OPAC record

one can get the BIBRAME description in HTML format by appending .rdf to it:

Other formats can also be invoked by appending the following extensions: .rdf-ttl, .rdf-nt, .rdf-json, .rdf-jsonld, and .rdf-rdf. The .rdf-rdf extentsion gives back the rdf-xml format.

Clicking the BIBFRAME icon in the OPAC also leads to the BIBFRAME description.
