Clare Job is a Metadata Officer at the University of Wollongong Library, Australia. Her role focuses on UOW produced research data, UOW names and digitised archival collections. Clare has developed metadata guidelines for all digitised archival collections with emphasis on how data is harvested and used in other systems. Clare also creates authority records for UOW authors, which are shared with LA and Trove. Her latest project was leading the project group to implement a new system for digitised Readings and her next project is creating and publishing an open data set from one of UOW’s archival WWI collections.

University of Wollongong Library will be publishing a WWI open dataset before June 2015. Once this is achieved we are looking to use linked data to further contextualise this work. We have digitised 3 WWI collections and published ‘William George Agate’ (http://bit.ly/1EyjIsJ), ‘John Robertson Hawke’ (http://bit.ly/1MraeRe) and ‘Bomaderry Soldiers Rest Home collection’ (http://bit.ly/1FHAnHF).
