I am Director of Digital Collections and Archives and University Archivist at Tufts University. DCA oversees archival and manuscript collections and services, records management, and shares responsibility for the university's digital repository with our central IT colleagues. I have an MSLIS from Simmons College and a MA in history from Tufts.
|Interest in LODLAM||
I am more of an archivist and manager than a technologist, but I see this as a key area for archives to develop if we are to enhance access to the resources in our care. I would like to attend the Summit to share our work on the LiAM project and to continue to learn about other projects in this space.
|Linked Open Data Projects||
Currently, I am PI for an IMLS National Leadership Grant (Planning Grant) on Linked Archival Metadata (LiAM). The purpose of the LiAM project is to develop a roadmap to help archivists fully leverage the power of linked data to expose archival collections more openly. LiAM's planning work is focused on building on existing LOD work as well as progress on structured archival description.
