Interest in LODLAM

Having had the chance of attending the Getty Summer Institute in Zurich/Lausanne 2016 as part of the staff at the gta, ETH Zurich, it showed me how important it is to exchange and share ideas in a field developing so fast at the moment. As an editor of an online artist’s dictionary I am especially interested in thesauri, authority files, data visualizations, and data curation. I may also contribute with a working use case with data on 16, 000 current and historical Swiss artists which we will publish as LOD in the near future. I am looking forward to hear and learn from other people's experiences with polishing up data (from relational database) in order to publish it as LOD.

Linked Open Data Projects

I was involved in a LOD-project where different kind of cultural metadata from the public library of Zurich, Zurich University of the Arts and SIKART (where I work) were put together in order to make a prototype of LOD application (cf. http://campus.hesge.ch/id_bilingue/projekte/lodz/default.asp and http://campus.hesge.ch/id_bilingue/projekte/lodz/results_de.asp).
At both my work places (SIK-ISEA and ETH Zurich), we discuss or already work on how to model our data to make it fit for the semantic web (for the online dictionary of Swiss artists http://www.sikart.ch and a new database for an architect’s archive, the gta archive, ETH).
