I work as scientific coordinator for Europeana (http://www.europeana.eu) and a guest researcher at the VU University Amsterdam in the Web and Media group (http://wiki.cs.vu.nl/web-media/). My background is Semantic Web / Linked Data research, focusing on the representation and interoperability of cultural heritage data. I have been involved in the development of the SKOS vocabulary (http://www.w3.org/2004/02/skos/) and have co-chaired the W3C Library Linked Data incubator group (http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/lld/).
|Interest in LODLAM||
LODLAM would be a fantastic opportunity for me to keep contact with my peers, identify who is working on relevant projects for my organization and hopefully get some collaboration going, for example for linking data together, re-using data or technical bits. LODLAM offers a great opportunity to share experience and recipes, and get some chance to collaborate on tackling harder issues. I am especially interested in all kind of data representation issues (knowledge organization systems, object data, annotations, licenses, data for semantic mark-up on web pages) and how to determine "strategies" for re-using datasets or schema across the board, which requires quite some community effort.
